It just hit me!! The mother of all excuses for a student not having their HW came from my former school in my previous life, here goes.
"No Homework again???"
Student, "My dad had his grass all over the kitchen table so I couldn't do it."
I can't believe I had forgotten about that one, good grief!! Life is so much better on the other side of the Catawba River these days.
